Leadership

Mahatma Gandhi said; "Be the Change You Want to See." This is so true of effective leadership. In other words, 'lead by example' as the old proverb goes.

Many leaders today desperately lack this quality, let alone the corporate world; even the heads of state who claim to be guardians of democracy. Most demonstrate 'crazy' behaviour, lending one to believe that they are probably no more than the guardians of 'demo-crazy'.

We need leaders of the character of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi led by example when he said; "I shall not take the freedom of another for the freedom of my country, I shall not shed the blood of another for I believe in 'ahimsa', the path of tolerance, understanding and mutual respect. The truth shall prevail." And, the truth has come to pass in history, where the might of the bullet has been squarely defeated by the noble will of a man's yearning for freedom and justice for all. Thanks to the great Mahatma, Western colonization retracted, Asia gained freedom, and the many countries of Africa tasted the sweet wine named; freedom!

Leaders who lead by example is the need of the hour.
